But seriously...I can relate. My situation is a little different. After 36 years of teaching high school English and German, I was thinking about retirement. Then German and French were cut. I could have stayed on as an English teacher only, but I didn't want that. It was teaching German that was fun and kept me going. The state cut another 1.4 million from the budget, so anything that didn't bring in the numbers was cut. How sad. BTW, I had 5 years of Latin in prep school and enjoyed it. I hope you will find another position. Good luck!
